My Brand Name in my own listing was replaced!
Hi Sellers,
I have a CUSTOM product that I have been selling since 2013. There has never been any other seller for this product aside from me. It is a modest selling product but has gotten many reviews (4.8 rating) over time. I understand there are many other nefarious sellers out there, so I obtained a Trademark and had my brand registered with Amazon. I then realized this was not enough. A few weeks ago, my listing was changed in all 4 Amazon marketplaces where it was available. The change was very subtle. The brand name (that is a link) that appears right below the product title has been changed. M brand registry registered brand name was replaced by another brand name that sells clearly unrelated products. Take note: My Brand name that is listed a little lower (together with other attributes) have not changed. I am not too sure what the gain of this other brand would be for doing this as I seem to be able to process orders and receive payments. However, when I tried to enable the “customization” option in one of the marketplaces that is when it became apparent that I have lost control of the listing. Not only did the “customization” I did not get published, but the listing also became “unavailable”. Also, for a brief moment, I received a message from Amazon saying that I need to get approval to sell my product from the Brand (hijacker) that replaced my product.
Of course, I reported this hijacking incident to Brand Registry using the Report a Violation Tool. However, the reporting process cannot seem to accept that I am reporting my own ASIN and not any other seller’s ASIN or listing. How else am I going to report a strange brand name hijacking on my own listing as I do not have any other listing to report. As such, Brand Registry Support has been unable to act on it. Here is the email I got from Brand Registry right after I reported the hijacking:

“Hello,
Thank you for your report of infringement. It appears you have reported against your own listing. We will review the remaining offers on the reported product(s) but will exclude enforcement on your own. Moving forward, we advise that you target specific offers/sellers, rather than the ASIN, if you are listing on the product as well.”
Complaint ID: (I should not include...)
Sincerely,
Amazon Customer and Brand Protection

I am not sure how to proceed in reporting this. It seems that Amazon has gotten so large and complex that complaining has become sort of a wild goose chase.
I would appreciate if anyone can be able to point me to the right department (or link) in order to reclaim my brand name.
Thanks,

Hello @Seller_VOLpEgWsSSV4X,
My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I would be happy to assist with getting the correct info on your ASIN.
First, what you have described is a change to the brand store link and not brand itself. To keep it simple, this part of the detail page is what is used by Amazon Advertising to connect branded product with the brands Amazon Store. Clearly, there is an error with this for at least 1 ASIN that I was able to find from case ID 13393030741. Is this the only ASIN that you are experiencing this issue with?
If there are other ASINs, do you have a case ID that you can share that has all of the affected ASINs so that I can research each one to see if there is a commonality?
If this is the only ASIN you are experiencing this issue with, I recommend opening a case with Amazon Ads via the Amazon advertising console and selecting contact us. Inform them that your ASIN's brand is correct, but the store link is incorrect and include a screenshot if you are able. Looking at all attributes of the ASIN, I cannot find a link to that other brand, meaning everything I can find on how the ASIN is "built," points to your Brand.
Please let me know how you will proceed and how I can best support you.
Best,
Dougal
