Postal charges

Isn't it about time Amazon raised the Shipping Credit on orders. It has been £2.80 for years for books but the least I've been able to spend on 2nd class shipping in the UK is £3.19. After Amazon takes its commission and the extra I need to pay on shipping - it is hardly worth the while actually selling anything. Why don't they look at this and either charge the customer who is buying the product a nominal fee or put the credit up to at least £3 or £3.50. It is ridiculous that this has remained stable all these years when the Royal Mail have actually increased their prices quite a few times.

A lower postage cost looks better to customers and all you need to do is to make sure you add any excess to your selling price.

For this and a number of other reasons it's worth having a Pro plan and setting your own rates, even if you're not selling the oft quoted 30 items a month.

It is highly unlikely they will ever increase the default shipping credit, and it could be possible that eventually they may well go down the route of free shipping eventually, so you need to factor in the extra cost to the price of your books. It isn't just books that are the problem but really all media items.
