Patent Infringement Resolution
Hi there,
We received a patent infringement. We tried to reach out to the owner but to no avail. What are our options here? How do we get the owner to respond to us? What happens if we just remove the affected ASIN? Will this remove the violation on our account?

Th owner does not have to respond to you. Removing the ASIN will not address the violation either.

Hello @Seller_fE3vLozAVG0jb
Thank you for the information provided regarding the concerns that you have been seeing. I understand that you have received complaints related to the patent of the products. If you believe that the complaint was sent in error, you do have the option to contact the rights owner to get a retraction. However, as mentioned, the rights owner does not have to respond if they do not wish to retract. This leaves you with the option of disputing or acknowledging the concern.
If you do not believe your product is violating the patent, you would need to compile evidence that the product is fundamentally different than the patent provided by the rights owner. This should be shown through evidence that details the differences in the product from the patent and shows the compliance. If they are unable to verify this information, they will reject your submission.
The option to remove the ASIN and acknowledge the violation may be possible with the removal of the ASIN, but we cannot guarantee that this path will be available. If you attempt this and the violation remains, then it will continue to be there until 180 days has gone by. Be sure to review each listing in your inventory to ensure that there is nothing additional in violation. If there are other ASINs available that could also be infringing, we would recommend removing them to further protect from any additional violations.
We encourage you to continue to refer to this thread with any added details you may have so we can continue to provide support.
Best,
