Amazon refunding Merchant Fulfilled returns before they get back to me!
Per amazon policy we are allowed to charge a restocking fee for returns that are not our fault. Since the beginning of the year, they are automatically refunding before the package even arrives to us. This is a clear overstep by Amazon and taking a part of our business that they are not allowed to take over. This is ridiculous that we are not even allowed to charge a restocking fee since they are now automatically refunded. Another Amazon way of stealing your hard earned money and not allowing you to run your own business. We clearly state that there will be a restocking fee if the order is returned to us for something that does not fall under our policy of free returns.

You can't charge a restocking fee any more for items that are returned in like new condition. It sounds like the returns are getting refunded under RFS (Refund First Scan). Items that are under $100 are often refunded after the first scan through RFS. If you receive an item back which has an issue such as being damaged or the wrong item or that sort of thing and Amazon has refunded it, you have to file a SAFE-T claim to attempt to be compensated.
