Seller Application Approval for a brand I do not own, but do have permission
I'm currently in touch with the brand's direct company/manufacturer who wants the listing ASIN and my Amazon store before they give me the official reseller authorization document. Meanwhile, I want to make sure I can even create this listing before I buy a bunch of inventory. They have already verbally confirmed I'm able to sell this item on Amazon. The product has its own packaging with brand name printed, GTIN barcode in the back, and has the company name as well. During product listing creation, I can't find any existing listings through description nor GTIN search, so I attempt to create a new ASIN. I also can't narrow down the products that are currently listed under this brand. The same product is sold on other Amazon marketplaces (but no longer available), and they all have different brand names even though the official brand is printed on the packaging.
I come across error 5461 stating I need to apply for creating a listing with this brand name, which was expected. I enter the product title, description, manufacturer info, and provide clear pictures of the product packaging and the product itself. This was quickly declined with the following - actual GTIN and brand name removed for privacy; "We understand that you are facing 5461 error while trying to create a listing. During our review of your application, we identified that the requested (GTIN number) is not related to the (Brand Name). In view of the aforementioned, we had to decline your application."
When I try to explain and show proof that the brand trademark and GTIN search on GS1 points to the same company, I just get the same response. When I asked for what products under the brand are currently on Amazon, I get a response saying it's a general question, and I get pointed to several links again. Their response feels like they didn't even bother to look at anything I uploaded. My goal is to get this product listed correctly, so there's no issues in the future.
How does Amazon determine the GTIN is unrelated to the brand? And what can I do to show that this product is in fact under this brand?

Update: after reopening the case multiple times, the communication method defaulted to "live chat" or "call" only. So I opted for a live chat. To my surprise, this live chat agent actually collected some info and I assume forwarded the case to the correct department. I was approved to sell this brand within a day. The good news is there's hope to get past this kind of problem, and the bad news is it seems most Amazon support representatives lack the knowledge of what to do in more complex situations - or they're just bots.

I have the same problem. Even showed it via GS1. No go. Amazon auto denies. The system is broken. I have over 200 suppressed listings now due to this issue

I have had to leave it and move on, and let Amazon's customers buy it from competiting marketplaces. It isn't worth the time as everytime we raise the case with support or go live chat or phone call we hit a brick wall and waste so much time.

Yea, i have to use google search, way better than Amazon search to find what I need to buy on Amazon.
