Trying to request an exclusion, or getting an answer from seller support is practically impossible, so the ONLY realistic thing you can do here is contact your local MP, and let them fight for you.
If enough MPs get messages from their constituents they may just may be forced to take an interest.
Just go to a search engine, type in "find my local MP" email them, explain what is going on, and that you would like them to help you, and for Government to forced Amazon to respond and ultimately stop this soul destroying practice of holding on to your funds for weeks on end.
No one on here is gonna help you, so who else can you speak to?
Also worth contacting any of the consumer help journalists in the tabloids, BBC Watchdog type tv programs, Martin Lewis, just anyone you can think of that has some power.
If enough of us contact our MPs and this gets brought up in Parliament, then MAYBE we can get some help.

We would strongly recommend reporting to Liz Barclay (The Small Business Commissionor)
She & her team were fantastic with the debacle some months ago, when Amazon froze 1000's of sellers disbursements until they provided additional Company & personal ID information. Liz Barclay introduced a reporter from The Times news agency & they wrote a very good piece on the subject.
Good luck
I recently asked Amazon for an exemption (there was an appeal option in the message I received) and they did this for me straight away which will defer it for at least another year.
Maybe if enough sellers do this, and make their opposition known, it will encourage Amazon to offer a permanent exemption to those who request it.
I'm very confused by those making excuses for Amazon or even saying it's better for sellers. What possible benefits are there to the seller of Amazon witholding your funds for at least an additional 7-10 days?
It's also much easier for small businesses to keep track of their funds coming through with the instant payouts as most sellers have a rough idea what they've sold over the last few days (and therefore roughly what to expect in payouts) and this system disrupts that so any discrepancies are harder to notice.
It's yet another example of Amazon overstepping the mark and taking more unnecessary control over sellers. They can already easily withold funds for any disputes etc so that argument is complete nonsense.
Cui bono? Amazon - as ever
No, it's not reasonable. Most people don't request a refund, otherwise there wouldn't be any point in selling here. It's a small percentage, they could hold 10% of my funds and that would be more than enough. Also Amazon has my credit card and bank account details and they know everything about me. I can hardly run away with £13.
That's the problem, I can manage fine when business is consistent but to go from a quiet period to a busy period is impossible with DD+7 without getting money from elsewhere. Now my funds held by Amazon are increasing every day by an amount larger than what I am allowed to disburse. It will be worse in the coming weeks as we will be getting busier. Luckily my brother has volunteered to help me out but still he shouldn't have to.
I've worked out that by the time we actually start to get any 'real' payouts after the accumulating expenses are taken out its getting on for a whole month before we receive any money.
Hi Just an update I have received email from Amazon to add extention time on until September 2025. The email address to contact is
eu-uk-reserve-policy-extention@amazon.co.uk
its not just the DD+7.
We actioned a deposit from our account on the 15th, its still not gone in , thats 7 days ago. its not even on for payment into our account tomorrow so this is going to go on for 10 days.. this on top of DD+7 would be 17 days... disgraceful and destroying for our business.
Ebay is instant, why cannot amazon be like this ??answers on a postcard mods !!!!
In my sales spreadsheet I enter the last estimated delivery date alongside the order and in the next column a formula adds 8 days (column called able to disburse). Sounds convoluted to start with but easy once set up.
I run open orders reports regularly throughout the day which contain amongst other things order number, date purchased, order value and last delivery date. So just a cut and past job.
Might be a pain if you have thousands of orders a day.
Can't you just look at transactions in the payments area?
Hi,
I completely understand your frustration with funds being held and the difficulty in getting answers from Amazon. Reaching out to your local MP is a proactive step, and involving consumer advocates like Martin Lewis or BBC Watchdog could amplify the issue.
The more sellers who raise this collectively, the better chance we have of making a change. Stay persistent—your efforts could make a difference!
Best regards,
