Unit Count and Unit Count Type error
When I go to the "Fix Your Products" page, it says there are ASINs missing Unit Count and Unit Count Type. I input data into those fields, and save changes, and it never takes. All the affected ASINs are in the Sugar category or related categories.
I've also tried uploading a partial update file upload to input the Unit Count and Unit Count Type. But that also doesn't work. I tried inputting Ounces as the Unit Count Type. It gave me an error: "Based on the data from ''[item_form.value]'', the ''Pound'' on the field ''"type.value"'' for the attribute ''[unit_count]'' is not a valid value. Please provide a valid value."
I didn't input 'Pound'. I used the Unit Count and Unit Count Types that are allowed on the Complete List available at this help page: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G2RCDMZR4SKGQFAY
No matter what I contribute, and no matter which tool I use to contribute that information, it doesn't work. It never works. The listings remain suppressed. The fields are never properly updated. The inventory remains stranded.
This was submitted to SAS on case ID 14317220841. They said the issue was fixed. Only 4 of the 9 ASINs were fixed, but not the others, and even more have become suppressed since that case.
Meanwhile, I tried deleting and relisting two ASINs that had this issue, but now they won't relist no matter how I try, whether through a full inventory upload file or the Add a Product tool. We have stranded inventory because these two ASINs will not appear in our catalog.
Whatever Amazon has done in requiring specific Unit Count Types and Item Types, they've screwed up. Seller Support is useless as always, regurgitating the same response that Pounds is not a valid input for this category. No duh. That is why I've been trying to input Ounces as the Unit Count Type and Powder or Crystal as the Item Form. Nothing works.
I've even submitted this to our Customer Success Manager (Amazon Account Rep) and no action has been taken.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Are there any Mods that can force these updates somehow? Can someone please fix this broken system?

I am having the same issue. Amazon seller support is a joke! No help anywhere. No one knows anything. I have read many reposts of this same issue and sadly the reports are not only recent but have been over the past two years. It seems as if there is no fix.

Hello @Seller_fEQJ9PNZpolZT- thanks for posting around this topic, and I apologize for the difficulties experienced. After taking a look through your case ID and this help page, I am wondering if part of the issue may be the titles of the items, as I am seeing some of the ASINs include 'lbs' or 'pounds' in the ASIN title. Have you looked at updating those titles as a part of this effort?
In the meantime, I will also share this FAQ on size normalization, in case it proves helpful at all!
