I just recently opened my Amazon Seller Account, with the goal of being able to sell higher volumes of LEGO products than would be possible through other e-commerce channels. Upon approval of my account, however, I was surprised to see that nearly every LEGO product which I searched to add to my storefront was "restricted" and I was unable to even apply to sell them. I have invoices directly from LEGO which meet the platform requirements to become ungated to sell a brand, but it seems that some folks on YouTube and in the forums here are thinking that Amazon is simply not accepting any applications to sell LEGO branded products at the moment. I have gotten on the phone and exchanged emails with a handful of seller support representatives, but, frankly, have heard conflicting things (although the longest phone conversation I had with a very helpful representative did leave me hopeful). Should I expect to be able to be approved to sell LEGO even with there being an apparent inability to apply at present? If it is not possible now, how likely is it that it will become possible to apply to sell LEGO in the future / has anyone more experienced with selling on Amazon been in a position in the past where they were unable to apply to sell a certain brand at one point, but it then became available to apply later? I really only created this store to sell LEGO and, if that will not be possible or is not likely to become possible, then the monthly professional seller fee is just money wasted and I will have to pivot elsewhere accordingly. Thanks for any thoughts or input!

Is there a legit reason why you just said "Lego" 8 times?
Do you have a LOA from Lego to retail their products on Amazon?
You mentioned you had invoices, but I don't believe invoices will work. Like @Seller_4zBzdtgCyS9EI who asked if you had a LOA, which is a letter of authorization from the brand. Its different from an invoice. You Tube just says its easy to sell on Amazon to get subscribers, but Amazon runs a tight ship.
I believe there might be distributors involved, & not small private sellers, for the bigger brands.
I don't want to discourage you, but maybe try Ebay. For now, since you never got approved, you can put in for a refund (it is not immediate), and close your account so you don't continue to get charged monthly, because that will happen whether you sell or not.
Save your account for a future venture. Maybe you will get some additional better advice. Best of luck!
You may have invoices, but you don't have written permission FROM LEGO to sell their products on Amazon.
I seriously doubt that they will ever allow any new sellers. Downgrade your account to Individual so that you don't pay any fees, and don't risk your account (and funds and inventory) by attempting to list any Lego products.
Yet they do! One lego listing I checked had FOURTYNINE other sellers. Countless with less than 10 feedbacks. Same with groceries. many get denied, other's have no feedback, are even RA's, but are in groceries! Either they all have someone pulling strings for them, or Amazon's right hand doesn't know the left hand, even within the same "team"
Eventhing I knew yesterday, don't work like that anymore today.....
Hello @Seller_699VTseIbsFn1,
I wanted to follow up with you regarding your concerns about your brand application. Generally, I have seen sellers submit one brand selling application and then get feedback from the review team if more information is required.
Once rejected the team requests new or additional documentation on that same application. Continuing to reapply for the same brand on new cases may be the reason why you are receiving the auto-rejection notifications.
I did want to provide the a link for Amazon's Responsible Sourcing documentation request requirements. Listed below are the requirements for sourcing documentation request:
Copies of invoices, receipts or other similar documents that demonstrate where your products are produced or manufactured.
These documents:
• Should reflect the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days
• Should demonstrate your product’s full supply chain
• Should include contact information for the supplier(s) and the original manufacturer. We may contact suppliers or manufacturers to verify the documents
Your documents should be able to trace your products to the original manufacturer even if you did not purchase them directly from the original manufacturer. This may require requesting additional invoices or supply chain documentation from your supplier if you are not sourcing directly from the manufacturer.
You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible to enable adequate review of the documents you provide. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASIN(s) under review.
A letter of authorization (LOA) can also be a valuable addition to your appeal in these situations If you’re sourcing directly from the brand or their manufacturer.
I also wanted to share our Seller University resource that addresses Invoice requirements for when you apply to sell.
Carefully review all the feedback @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw, @Seller_4zBzdtgCyS9EI, @Seller_WBnGS7Ix3XiDX and I have shared with you regarding your brand application in order to continue moving forward in the application process. Please let us know if you have any questions about any of the information provided above.
