Oversized Items on a Pallet - Do they need to be in cartons?
Hello,
I’ve done a fair bit of searching on this one and can’t find a definitive answer.
I am planning to send in a pallet of Piano Stools (FBA Oversize, 10kg each). They are supplied in a sturdy box, and I don’t have any suitably sized outer cartons that they could be placed in.
I’ve gone through the usual shipment creation page and all is well, until I get to the ‘Shipment Packing’ section under ‘Prepare Shipment’.
Assuming there are 30 units that I wish to send in, each labelled with a FNSKU, should I be stating that there are 30 boxes, and 1 unit per box? Or would ‘1 box, 30 units’ be more appropriate?
If so, the next problem is the ‘Box Labels’. Can I just bypass this step? I don’t want to be sticking FBA Carton labels directly onto the items that the customer will be receiving.
Last thing I want is for the pallet to arrive and then be rejected as the individual items are not in cartons.
Thanks in advance!

Each item needs to be packed sufficiently to be able to survive a “drop test” and passage through the Amazon system.
So they need some form of packaging.
As to the items themselves, it is one item per box. You do not need to place box labels on them as well, as long as they have the FNSKU labels on them, or are comingled.
Pay attention to the pallet requirements. Overweight/oversize etc will be rejected.
In essence, you treat a pallet delivery, in just the same way as a parcel delivery.
