Deferred Payments

discussion.I have over $3000 of deferred Payments from customer orders. I did not elect this arrangement. Some scheduled to be paid 90 days from now.

Is there any way to opt out of this arrangement?

Hello 1_Prime

This is happening to a lot of us right now. We had this hit us starting the 1st of Oct and we have thousands in Deferred Transactions. Multiple cases and phone calls, nothing. The cases state they have been transferred to another team, but its been 6 days or more since that and nothing from them.

It does not seem to matter if you just started selling or if you're like us and have been selling on here for over a decade. It does not seem to matter if your metrics are perfect and OTDR is perfect, they are still doing this.

Look around and search for Deferred Payments and you will see many threads on this. It is unreal with more and more sellers every day posting about it.

On the same day we had this happen to us, we also had Amazon add a huge delivery padding to all of our listings as well which has brought down our sales by over 60%. There are many talking about this as well, so take a look at your listings and go to the listing page and see if this is happening to you. Our OTDR is as perfect as it can be and we are signed up with every automated option Amazon has asked of us and still have this.

It's not right that this is happening to sellers and how Amazon is handling this.

Hi @Seller_8KeCulpouvO7B,

Dominic from Amazon here, happy to provide additional info.

A deferred transaction is a transaction that will be paid out to you at a future date. Most transactions are deferred for some period of time before they are paid out. The "Payment release date" tells you when you will be able to access the funds from deferred transactions. After this date, these transactions will move to the Transaction view page and the funds will become available for disbursement.

Why is my transaction deferred?

A transaction is deferred while an order is awaiting delivery or pending buyer payment. You can use the Deferred transactions page to identify these orders, the reason for deferral, the date when you will receive payments of these orders, and the corresponding amount.

Invoiced orders placed by Amazon Business customers are deferred while awaiting payment by the buyer. These transactions will be released after the customer completes their invoice payment, which typically occurs within 30-45 days after the order date. Note that these orders are also subject to delivery date policies, but in most cases, the invoice due date will be later than the reserve period.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Dominic

Is anyone using international? Since it is awaiting payment or delivery maybe it is extended delivery times for overseas orders?

Is anyone having it say you are going to be charged? It is now telling me I am going to be charged over $2000 on October 30th because I have had an abundance of expedited shipping for last minute Halloween shoppers. They are holding those funds as well and putting me in the negative. My account is healthy and not under review. This is absolutely insane! Customer support says this is the new payment method. I don’t understand. Why am I being charged when you have almost $10k of payments due to me????

File a criminal complaint (or multiple across various agencies) because what Amazon is doing is criminal.

Amazon has created a phony ledger system where all sales are "deferred" (held a minimum of 37 days) but also double entered as a negative in "standard" sales. So when settlement day arrives (14 days after the sale) Amazon charges your credit card to zero out their phony negative ledger entires.

This is credit card fraud at a bare minimum.

Amazon is getting really really bad. All the money stuck in deffered transactions, amazon giving FULL REFUNDS ON THE 1ST SCAN without knowing what's in the box or without allowing us to receive it to open it, amazon denying SAFE T claims without proper reason EVEN AFTER YOU PROVIDE PICTURE EVIDENCE, then all the customers that lie to get free items and money and we have no way of blocking these scammers, I mean customers, soooo many corrupt things happening inside amazon. If you know, you know.

THE NEW WILD WILD WEST- WHERE ANYTHING GOES, YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT
