A buyer scammed me to get a full refund, then left 1-star false review

Hello,

It is increasingly difficult to deal with customers on Amazon because they have so much power given by Amazon. I had an FBM order. They contacted me in March 2024 claiming that they never received the order. Seeing that they have ordered from us in the past, I didn't want to lose a loyal customer & gave them the benefit of the doubt. I refunded the full amount. Now, 10 months later, they gave me a 1-star review claiming false things about my product.

It is an obvious question: How do you make a review about my product 10 months later, if the items never arrived?

I have to add that the 13/16 reviews I saw on their profile are 1-star reviews. I feel bad for any sellers having to deal with them. This person is purely harming sellers due to their greed & bad intentions.

@Danny_Amazon, it'd be greatly appreciated if you can look into this. Thank you. I did go through the route of emailing community-help & reported the review.. It has been weeks & no responses from them

Hello @Seller_epgONY12KqeHA,

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and thanks for including the case ID. In that chat you stated you reported the review and were told to report it again. Have you done that and if so, do you have a case ID for that?

I am asking because I do see the review on the detail page, but I am not seeing the review on your feedback manager and I am wondering if this is currently being reviewed/investigated.

Looking forward to assisting wherever I am able.

Best, Dougal

Hi @Dougal_Amazon, I was told to report using this Feature. I have never in my life used that feature & got a response... so I don't have a Case ID for that.

amazon is pro customer fraud & scams. It's hard. It's only getting worse and worse and amazon continues to allow this and worser things to keep happening.

Who are they so sellers can block them from buying?

Yeah, people can scam you and just get away with it. And sometimes you just cannot do anything about it.

I recently had a customer claim he didn't get a product. With no substantiation, just the words "did not get" and nothing else, amazon sided with him and refunded it. All I wanted was for the customer to file a USPS missing package report so there was some kind of substantiation on record, but amazon wouldn't even allow that. So, there's the business model for scammers, just write "did not get" and go sell your stolen product on ebay. And because amazon has monopolized the marketplace, if I want to have a business I have to swallow that.
