Customer return - Claim - inadequate performance & quality
Hello!
We are new to selling on Amazon and require support.
A customer has asked for a return, which is their statutory right if done within 14 days of the delivery as we understand. The customer claims the item has inadequate quality and performance. They also claim that the product (50cc motorbike) does not start and that the pull cord had broke of during the attempt to start it!
Obviously the item will be returned as damaged. However, the pull cord is not covered under our supplier’s warranty!
We are certain we must accept this return, but we would like to find out the correct process and our rights as it is very difficult to find info on Amazon.
Any help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

First off all make sure you accept the return within 24 hours.
Once its back you can inspect the damage / fault - if any and proceed from there

Yes, make sure you accept the return request. If faulty you will have to pay for the return carriage cost.
Read Amazon’s Seller University for their return/refund policies.

Actually on Amazon the customer can return the item for any reason up to 30 days from receipt of the item (not the order or dispatch date). The returns window has also been extended at various periods over the last few months so they may even have longer to return.
Selling expensive items can be risky.
