Seller Support would rather lie to me then actually put the correct product diamentions into the system!!!!
Hi, Amazon please can someone look into CASE 9821579602, how ridiculous it is to get Seller Support to actually remeasure products, how they simply “reconfirm” wrong measurements and would rather lie then do there job then enter the correct measurements!!!
In CASE 9821579602, regarding ASIN: B07B4CWHM3, according to Amazon the width of the lipstick which is just 1.9cm, however according to Amazon, once this lipstick is put inside a zip lock plastic bag, it somehow magically grows to 2.9cm????
Yesterday, Seller support even stated the following (see below) confirming the correct measurements and provided a picture which showed the correct dimensions on the screen of an Amazon measuring machine, it clearly said “Press Enter to Save Measurements”, which he then never did, despite confirm this in his response (see below).
Now after reopening the case and complaining about these lies, somehow seller support, has managed to delete all previous correspondence from the case id and this response and previous responses are no longer viewable.
This is like something from the Soviet Union, deleting the past history, this behaviour from Amazon Seller Support employee’s is simply outrageous!!!

From my experience unfortunately items packed in zip lock bags are rarely measured correctly. The only way to do this is to use a more rigid packaging sich as a tight fitting card backed envelope.
Regarding the missing messages I used to think the same - but it turns out they are still there, they actually start to scroll over two pages and the button to change page is a small arrow at the top right of the case, have a look and all your messages will still be there!

I'm afraid, this is correct. It's a right pain but they've even gone to print about this. I actually received an email a couple of years ago stating that corners should be taped up to make the package as small as possible )I've since lost that email if anyone asks).
It's unethical as the items don't actually take that space in the warehouse or in shipping but it's to do with the way they are measured, ie by line of sight laser equipment, not by human.

Ive got a number of products that are weighed incorrectly so ive had to remove them from FBA. They are under 23kg but amazon claim they are above. This means they go from about £13 referall fee to £25 referall fee. Who would have thought amazon thought they were over the magical 23kg? They just arent. Ive weighed them myself.

This is absolutely correct. Amazon staff put the item on a laser measuring device, any slight bit of packaging is recorded as the product. It's very annoying, you have to make sure packaging is rigid.

I am waiting for a re-measurement (again:)) of one of our products which has a small thin plastic flap for a handle which normally just lies flat. It also takes no space up when storing or delivery. However, the magic laser machine has included this flappy bit of plastic which has then taken us into the oversize category and then cost a fortune, mostly as we didn't have the additional storage capacity agreed in oversize and we then found ourselves with a huge overstock situation and unable to agree further capacity until the following month. Lots of requests to increase the capacity fell on deaf ears......
We are now asking our suppliers to tape the flap down, a wasteful and pointless exercise in my opinion.
