Mod Please Help - SAFE-T Claim Denial for Damaged Item Refunded Without Returned

Hi everyone,

I'm struggling with a SAFE-T claim denial. A customer recently claimed an item was "damaged," for an order that's delivered 2 months ago, and Amazon immediately issued a full refund without asking for the item to be returned. They cited the item as either "non-returnable" or "delivered in a different condition", yet my listing has had multiple returns in the past and on the listing page it's clearly stated that the product is "eligible for return". According to Amazon's policy, I should be eligible for reimbursement if there's no Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) or carrier 'first scan' for a return.

If the product isn't eligible for return because it was delivered 2-3 months ago, which is outside the return window, then this thing is even more ridiculous. Amazon knows it's been too long for a return, so they just don't require the buyer to return, and they just charge on seller to issue the refund?? Is this reasonable.....

Has anyone else faced this issue with delayed refunds and unreturned "damaged" items? How did you resolve it?

Appreciate any guidance or similar experiences.

Hello @Seller_LBb11mvqoNN7Y

I reviewed the SAFE-T Claim and the Order. I am afraid I cannot raise an escalation for you. You did not purchase your shipping for the outbound order through Amazon Marketplace Shipping Service.
