Competitive price Bug when shipping is not free

The Competitive price is showing incorrectly when the SKU has non-free shipping.

For example if our price is $150+$20 shipping, and the competitive price is $160 (shipping included). it shows the competitive price as $160+$20, which seems to indicate $150+$20 is "competitive", but in fact it is not as it is not showing in the buy box.

Please fix that!

You are right. It doesn't work right, and that is because it is run by a bot. As you can see, the bots are programmed to only look at one price, not the total picture and make an educated decision.

As far as pricing is concerned, they cannot see your dilemma, they cannot tell the difference between new and used pricing, and they have no idea what the actual retail price of an item is.

Sellers just have to make things work for them.

There is no bug, it is functioning as designed.

Amazon's goal is to squeeze sellers margins to un-profitable territory to "delight" customers.

You can always have a different UPC code for Amazon products and only use it on this site, that way the bots have nothing to compare it to.
