Changes to product compliance and labelling requirements
The UK is due to formally leave the EU’s single market and customs union on January 1, 2021. In preparation for this date, the UK Government has recently announced changes to compliance and labelling rules, which may apply to some of the products you sell on Amazon.co.uk.
These changes generally apply to products sold in Great Britain (England, Scotland, and Wales) and include, but are not limited to:
- New Energy Labelling requirements
- New UKCA mark of conformity, to replace the CE mark of conformity.
- New REACH chemical regulations
- Changes for medical devices
- Changes to hallmarking for jewellery
- Changes to food and drink labelling
We have summarised the new requirements and provided links to the relevant government guidance on our Brexit help page. Review this information and ensure that your impacted products meet the new requirements within the given deadlines (timing of implementation varies depending on the change).
We thank you for selling on Amazon and will continue to keep you updated with Brexit-related changes to your business.

Hello,
Unfortunately, the “Brexit help page” link is not working. Please fix it.
Best regards

is this the same CE mark of conformity that Amazon is currently causing nightmares for sellers with the Product Compliance Requests ?
Does that mean they will ask for the new UKCA mark of conformity in January and we’ll have to start all over again ?!

Can Amazon maybe address the current Product Compliancy requests that are sent to expire on 9th November? Lot’s of people in the forum have 100’s of these outstanding with the deadline now only 4 days away on the 9th November… No communication from Amazon on this despite people reaching out asking for an extension of the deadline as Amazon have not responded to the requests yet.

Lets hope they sort out tariff free trade then or face this one:
From Brexit Help:
Seller-fulfilled orders (where the Selling Partner is using a 3rd party carrier) can continue to be fulfilled across the UK-EU border. It will be the Selling Partner’s responsibility to ensure all duties and tariffs are paid prior to delivery to the customer.

Yes, thats true, but you will need to add that cost into the price of the goods as well, the “3rd party” fees, duties (different for every product) and VAT locally, plus VAT on that on top if it works like the “old days”!
