Product Inauthentic Complaint and Branding
We received a product inauthentic complaint from a customer. This is a product that we own, manufacture and sell. We are the only seller on Amazon of this product.
The ASIN was created by a wholesale customer of ours some years ago who is no longer around. We own the brand trademark and it is registered with Amazon Brand Registry.
We have been selling this product on Amazon for many years, and have tried to get Amazon to give us control over the listing as there is a lot of outdated information, pictures, etc on the current listing. We are fighting the inauthentic complaint and trying to getting Amazon to link this product to our account and the brand registry is proving to be rather difficult. Nobody really wants to listen or help us out on this support issue. Just getting the runaround, like usual. Any ideas?

Why you don't just create a new listing taking a new UPC from GS1 attributet to YOU? I strongly suppose that this old listing doesn't show YOUR brand name and therefore the inauthentic complaint.
It will be difficult if not impossible to attribute that ASIN to your account since it was NOT you who created the listing.
I agree it's easy to "take over" ready listings with ratings and reviews but that's not how it works.
