discussion. Hello, just looking for some help please. I've set up my store in the hopes of dropshipping using existing products from other Amazon stores (no actual inventory myself). When I try to add a product from another store, it states that I must provide an invoice showing I've purchased the inventory already and that i have to get approval to sell the product. Can anyone tell me if what I'm looking to do is possible without buying inventory first? Thanks in advance.

I think you should search for and read the Amazon dropshipping policy.
And then search this forum for those sellers who have had their accounts deactivated for doing it improperly.

This is against Amazon policy and you will get your account suspended with a permanent Section 3 deactivation.
Nope, it's against amazon policy. You need to have brand owner approval and purchase your inventory from one of their authorized wholesale distributors.

Even if you follow those rules, some products can not be sold using dropshipping on amazon since the companies involved want tight control on who sells on amazon.
If you are a new Seller, you will also be asked for more approvals because you do not have a selling history on amazon.

You have to have the inventory first. Or you have to buy your inventory from a reliable wholesale company that has the inventory. You can't go to Amazon, wallmart, costco etc. buy the inventory and sell it to a customer without your invoice, shipping label and other documentation. This is a direct violation of Amazon dropshipping policy. Even if you manage to sell you will be banned very soon. So my advice: Don't do that!

I love when people watch youtube videos, and assume they can make a business plan. One word of advice, if you see someone on youtube promoting a way to sell items on Amazon, think twice, if it is such a great business why is he showing/telling you on youtube vs not doing himself, it if makes millions. They all know this is not good way, so in last resort, they sell you courses ebooks etc trying to make last buck off people.
