WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? Detail Listings Removed

Every time I think I'm making progress, Amazon slaps me square across the face and says, 'Gotcha, Stupid!'.

It took me two months to get through Seller Verification and Brand Registry due to an admitted Amazon glitch. All of this delayed me just long enough that I missed the deadlines for the free offers for New Sellers (Vine $200 credit, $100 Shipping Credits, etc). Did I complain? Nope, just took it like a champ and continued to push forward. I've listed my items, shipped inventory to Amazon and now I am faced with this:

Amazon has been consistently removing my listings citing a copyright violation for using the protected term 'MagSafe' in the phrase 'MagSafe Compatible'. No problem.. 100% my bad for not knowing. So I went through all 16 of my listings and manually removed the term 'MagSafe' and replaced it with 'Magnetic Charging Compatible'. All good right? So I thought.

Next, I received an email from Amazon giving a more detailed explanation of exactly HOW to use protected terms to be in compliance. Here's the exact language from the email:

'To successfully appeal, you will need to submit the listing to Amazon for review after editing in one of the following ways:

1. Remove the trademarked term from the product detail page entirely, OR

2. Change the brand name to accurately reflect the product and match trademarked terms used on the product detail page OR

3. Update the detail page to add compatibility terms before the trademarked term, if the product is using the trademarked term to refer to another product, such as “charger for Kindle E-Reader”, “charger compatible with Kindle E-Reader”, and “charger made for Kindle E-Reader”.'

Now, correct me if I'm wrong but, I understand #3 to mean that as long as I don't call my item 'MagSafe', but rather state my product is compatible with OR made for 'MagSafe' in my title or description body AND use those words BEFORE the protected term 'MagSafe', I would be in compliance. i.e. 'Case for iPhone Compatible with MagSafe', right?

So I chose #3, because it still allowed my listings to come up when visitors shopped the term 'MagSafe' AND it was in line with all the other listings that used the EXACT wording: 'Compatible with MagSafe'.

I then went back and manually updated all 16 listings again using the exact phraseology recommended by Amazon. Thinking I was all good, I appealed the listings and waited to be reinstated. I even received an email saying that 2 of my listings are being reinstated.

And because my listings that were deemed 'Detail Page Removed', the changes I have made aren't reflecting in the titles when I view my inventory, so I'm not even sure if Amazon Support can see the actual changes I've made.

Now within hours I have received several more emails telling me that I am once again out of compliance, have several more listings suspended or detail page removed. My products which were in transit to other facilities inside of the Amazon network are now 'STRANDED' (an Amazon Term) Whatever that means... And I keep receiving the same boiler plate responses to my emails to Seller Support.

It feel as though each step forward sends me 22 steps backward with Amazon.

Removed ASINs are listed below:

B0CGNVWF7N, B0CGNVWB63, B0CH56PHDJ, B0CH56644V, B0CH55VPT5, B0CH55G6X, B0CH55G6XS

Can anyone help please and thank you!

If you go into Edit the listing, More Details, do you see a field for Compatibility? If so, add MagSafe and any other brands/models. Then submit. Once the updated listing is approved, go into the description and add the desired text.

Hello there @Seller_5YrrWYAy12kYB

First of all, thank you for your post here in the New Seller Community, and welcome!

My name is CR and I'd love to see if we can get you some information here. Would you mind providing me with the case # you have opened with Seller Support on this so I can read through the issue in greater detail and review the correspondence that has take place to this point?

I know it has been a few days now, so I wanted to see where you are currently at in the process. Have you been able to get any of your ASINs back up at this point?

I will hang tight here for your response.

We appreciate you taking the time to post here and we want this area of the forums to be positive and productive. We appreciate your feedback and have steps in place to ensure the support and guidance provided remains positive and constructive.

There are never excuses to be made and unfortunately many times 'intent' and 'tone' are drowned away via online text based communications - one of the reasons I'm pushing to bring emojis back! :)

Your comments and feedback are not taken lightly and appreciate you voicing them here publicly for our review.

Remove "MagSafe" for good. Even if they tell you it is ok a boot will always bug you and put your listings down.
