Restricted edit permissions
I have been trying to make changes to a listing and get the restricted edit permission notice
"Since you are not the brand owner for this product, you can only create an offer for this ASIN. Y ou are not authorized to make or request an update for any other attribute for this product. If you are the brand owner, please make sure you're registered in Brand Registry and this ASIN is registered to your brand. "
I have spent 3-4 hours with chat trying to get to the bottom of this. Is there any way to edit the current listing without creating a whole new listing? (I would lose my rating?) The only directions I see tell you to "add a listing"
Do I need to register my brand or get a GTIN exemption? I'm soooooo confused.

I’m experiencing the same issue! I’m the brand owner, but I keep getting that error message as well. An Amazon representative mentioned that it’s a glitch that often affects handmade sellers. They suggested using a template to update the information temporarily, but I’m not comfortable with that approach, so I deleted the listing and created a new one. Unfortunately, I received the same error again. Now the chat support is closed, so I had to send an email instead. Please keep me updated if you hear anything from them!

I have this issue with parent items, I can't even see them in Manage Inventory. Also, as I mentioned in my recent post, I cannot edit my store or see the Customer Reviews page. These are all Brand Owner features. I have had the Brand Registry waiver since February 2022.
I haven't opened a case because it will be answered by someone who has never heard of Handmade, the waiver or much of anything.

ok, I was told to use inventory template files to upload listings to handmade in bulk. "Handmade has a unique listing process that differs from other Amazon categories, so there are some differences to keep in mind"
Step 1 was to "Add products via upload" (which I had to search for as I could only find "add products"
Then nothing matched up to my instructions so I clicked "add single product" or something like that and went from there. I finished one listing and them went to look at my listing for some info I needed to transfer over and magically the error message had disappeared. I edited the listing (bullet points) and viola, it looks like my problem has been solved. who knows.

Same issue! I am trademarked and Brand Registered so this error message is completely bizarre.

Hey @Seller_Ec8Qv4m5YzY1W this is not related to the GTIN exemption. You are receiving this error because you are not brand registered and therefore the system is not accepting your brand name. You can list your products under "Generic" (they will show as Handmade on the storefront or enroll into Brand Registry with a trademarked.

I have this with one of my best sellers, just one ASIN so far. I can't even TRY to get this brand "SANQIZ" removed because as of right now, AMAZON doesn't recognize my Handmade Brand Waiver, so I don't exist to them. "SANQIZ" appears to have hijacked a variety of items' brand names.
