Is it me? Order Cut-off time
For a supposedly well educated person, I feel like a complete idiot where Amazon is concerned.
We received an order yesterday paid for at 15:46 hours.
We had one day dispatch time set and RM Tracked 24.
The order cut-off time can not be set earlier than 2pm.
One article states that the order cut-off time cannot be set for standard shipping. Part of that article states that “For non-prime shipping, the order cut-off time defined under General Fulfilment Settings is used”.
SO WHAT IS IT?
I have noticed that General Fulfilment Settings is not General Shipping Settings. Why cannot they be located in the same area? Perhaps they are.
So today we find ourselves in a similar situation where technically we did not expect an order placed at 15:46 so have a dispatch date of today’s date because we believed the cut-off time is 2pm so adding a day on means it should be dispatched on Thursday so we have shipped Tracked 24 and if it doesn’t get there on time it will be another defect!!!

I think you’ve got it but you just need to ignore cut off times for standard orders UNLESS your handling time is 0 days.
If you can’t handle orders placed in the evening the following day, set your default handling time to 2 or look at Handling Capacity.
You will if you haven’t shipped it today yes.
