Inventory Received Under Wrong ASIN – Best Way to Fix?
Hi everyone,
We accidentally created an FBA shipment using the wrong ASIN, even though the products sent were correct and had the correct FNSKU labels.
Amazon has now:
- Received the stock and marked it as available for sale
- Assigned it to the wrong ASIN (due to the shipment plan)
Listing is part of a variation, so we can’t suppress or close it easily
We’ve raised the price and submitted a removal order to stop sales. Support says we have to wait until the shipment is fully closed (by 28 July) before they can investigate.
Our options seem to be:
- Wait and raise a case to have the stock reassigned
- Proceed with the removal and resend under the correct ASIN
Has anyone had success with Amazon reassigning inventory to the correct listing in this kind of situation?
