Account suspended NINE YEARS

Nine years has passed since my account was suspended due to an anonymous seller making claims of counterfeits being sold. No amount of sending proof of purchase (receipts and invoices etc) was ever enough.

After so much time, could the account be reinstated? I recall a few years ago - having lost all hope - that I requested the account be deleted. I made this request multiple times (in every communication option) I could find to reach Amazon support. Clearly that wasn't done as I've logged in to to post this.

If this not an option, then I withdraw consent for Amazon to use my data in this way and will make every effort to use GDPR to make a right to erasure request for the complete and destruction all my data related to selling on Amazon and will demonstrate Amazon's contempt of legal obligations if Amazon fails to do so. Would Amazon ignore this just as they have has ignored so much?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

You cant close a deactivated account hence why you can still log in...

Not sure how that works with GDPR, they would still be allowed potentially to keep some data I would imagine to stop someone just requesting deletion and starting again

in terms of GDPR amazon would I imagine still have a legitimate interest in processing your data, that is to stop you opening another account if they believe you acted fraudulently in the one you wish to close.

I imagine you’d have to test this legally.

I sent another appeal response which is the only way of contacting them online at this point. I'm not actually appealing, I am simply stating that I withdraw any and all consent for Amazon to use my data for selling on Amazon and to close the account. To comply with GDPR and Data Protection legislation as defined by the ICO, Amazon will be required to shut down the account and delete all the data. I will look to take action against the company if they fail to honour this legal obligation.

Addendum: Amazon staff decided to ignore my message and treat it as another appeal. As a consequence, I am creating an auto-reply email that will be sent to any service refusing to provide adequate support. I expect their system will auto-reply to my auto-replies and this circle will continually until they do something about it. They have my postal address and can find ways to contact me by other means.

have you tried opening a new account ? after 9 years some of your verification information must have changed ( new passport , change of address , switched to a different bank ) plus some your old info was probably deleted by amazon by now ...might be enough to get you passed verification .

Unfortunately, you can't really ask your data to be deleted if you are a company. As your company information is publicly visible on gov.uk.

Your account still can be reinstated if you have proof that all the products you was selling at that time was genuine.

Go to your seller central and search for 'mediation request'

Just requet mediation by providing all the detail and proofs you have and if your products was genuine then mediation team can reinstate your seller account.
