The supplier in China did not appropriately apply labels on my products

I ordered my items from a supplier in China and sent them labels to place on each product before shipping them on my behalf to Amazon FBA. However, I think they might not have understood me and instead they shipped all 50 items under 1 FNSKU label. Say the price per item is XX USD so now it has become XX USD for the whole 50-pack. This is obviously a very serious problem for me. Now that the shipment status is "inbound" and I contacted Amazon support and they said if there is any problem they will contact me. However, I think that they may not see it as a problem since the label is probably correct, except that it is for the whole 50-piece not an individual piece. As of current, I tried to increase the price of the 50-pack listing on Amazon and a new problem is Amazon flagged it as a high pricing error.

The question is what can I do to resolve this? Can I ask Amazon to label individual items for me by using FBA labeling service now after the shipment has arrived? Any help from you guys are super appreciated!!!

Looking forward to any solutions! Thanks a lot.

As you surmise, there is little you can do to fix this now. However, one thing you can do is to alter your listing; I would raise the price very high, so that if it gets to the warehouse, it is unlikely to sell before you are able to resolve the issue, or at the very least, if it does sell, you're not losing money.

As for labeling, I don't know if you can get Amazon to do this after the shipment; but I think that prep services must be designated prior to the shipment. You may have to wait until your items are received, and submit a removal order, then apply the labels yourself; but try submitting a case once the items are received to see if Amazon can do it, as that will be cheaper.

But raise the price!

And good luck. Let us know what you end up having to do to resolve this.

@Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw is correct about raising the prices to make them ridiculously expensive for protection.

NOW spend the next month reading the Forum and looking at the dozens/hundreds of posts about why sellers with years of experience recommend that new sellers NEVER have new suppliers ship items direct to Amazon.

You simply can not/should not trust ANY supplier to do things properly until they have PROVEN to you that they deserve to be trusted.

That might mean two (or six, or even a dozen) shipments sent directly to YOU for checking and verifying the quantity, correct labeling, quality, and other factors.

Once you see everything is done properly THEN you can trust them for remaining orders.

Your issue is self-inflicted by not studying what experienced sellers have posted about on here for YEARS.

Removal order, fix it yourself, send back to Amazon, change pricing to the correct level.

Have any reorders sent to YOU until you can trust them. OR find a new supplier and have them send to you until they can be trusted!

Thank you both Picks_by_Nisha and NEVERLAST for your informative responses. This is a lesson learned for me. In the future I will make sure that the suppliers in China can be absolutely trusted before I order from them to send items directly to warehouses.

As of current, I asked Amazon and they said the shipment is still "In Transit" so I will wait and see the status once it arrives at the warehouse to see it can be sorted out by people at the FC or if any issues arise.

The problem for me is that I am not based in the US and I do not know anyone personally in the US who can help me with. In that context, can anyone suggest or recommend other solutions for me? I know that there are people/companies in the US who can be hired to do the labeling for sellers. So technically, I can remove the inventory and ship it somewhere in the US to be labelled before sending it back to stock at the warehouse.

Any suggestion regarding this would be greatly appreciated. And if there is any other resolutions I will let everyone know so that other people may be benefited from this forum thread.

The situation eventually got resolved. The supplier in China labelled all items correctly individually. But the system in AMZ just showed 50-pack on the main image for the way I first created the list. But once the shipment arrived, they saw that the items were all separately labelled and so I asked AMZ to remove the label "50-pack" on the main image. Now everything is all good. I guess I got lucky choosing this Chinese supplier; they did not misunderstand me after all.
