Novelty License Plates At Risk of Deactivation

@Atlas_Amazon

Hello and good evening Atlas,

I’ve reviewed several discussions regarding the “smoked or tinted license plate cover” policy and am now encountering the same issue on two of my key listings.

"This product has been identified as a smoked or tinted license plate cover. Amazon policy prohibits the listing or sale of license plate covers that obscure the reading or recognition of a license plate."

This issue previously occurred on a couple other listings. I attempted to appeal those, but only received a generic response—and shortly after, the listings were banned. The pattern seems to be:

1. Warning about geographic sales restrictions

2. No clear review or path to resolution

3. Listing removal

In those past cases, the listings weren’t significant sellers yet, so I let them go. But now, this is affecting core products in my catalog, and I can’t ignore it.

These are fully custom novelty plates—**not** smoked or tinted covers—and I want to get ahead of this before these listings are incorrectly removed as well.

What do you recommend as the best course of action to prevent a takedown and resolve this properly?

So far I've sent two email tonight, one for each product to: pars-rp-core-sellerappeals-transfer and also modified the listings slightly to hopefully avoid any false triggers going forward (decorative/novelty).

Thank you,

You mentioned that you have appealed and made edits to the listings, what have you sent in for review? Which attributes have you updated in the listings?

I look forward to your reply and learning more about your situation. The forums community and I are here to support you.

Wishing you the best,

I've had about 20 listings removed. None of the plates even remotely resemble a “smoked or tinted license plate cover” or any other reason for them to be targeted. My guess is that it is AI / BOTS that are causing the problem and like horses run wild there is no one holding the reigns of these bots.
