Is this message legitimate? Amazon messaging through buyer communication
We received a message that appears to be from Amazon, but it came through as a buyer communication message.
It is essentially asking us to cancel an order. However, this is a FBA order, and we actually don't have the ability to cancel it. I checked the Seller Central UI, and our only option is to refund the order, which I believe does not cancel the order.
Normally Amazon just cancels an unshipped order if the customer requests, without ever asking the seller to do it.
Is this message legitimate?

Since it is from Amazon dot com it is probably legit but you have a "Customer Service" person that is clueless about how Amazon works.
Since they are relaying what the buyer told them I would reply (it will go to the BUYER and not Amazon) and just say that you have no control over an FBA order.
Let them know that they (the 'buyer' ) needs to go into their order history and click on 'cancel' for the order. It will probably be too late to do so anyway but they will then have to return it to Amazon of course.

The customer called Amazon and spoke to a rep and the rep sent you the message. I have rec'd these before.

It is odd, though, that the very last line has an http address and not https

I get those too, usually the amazon rep is asking you to do something not part of policy. I will message the customer with the correct policy statement.

Your customer called Amazon support and they messaged you on her behalf. BUT: usually Amazon support representative is not listening WHAT EXACTLY a buyer says, therefore it's better to contact the buyer and get their confirmation on whatever is written.
You can easily have a full refund requirement made in strict language when a buyer simply asked if they can keep the item and so on. I even remember three different requests in a row and neither of them had anything in common with real buyer needs 🤷

The more I look at this message, the more I definitely do NOT trust it.
Customer service would not, or should not be contacting you via this method, as this is an order cancellation request from a buyer, hence the "Order cancellation request...." and the "See all communication with this buyer".
Also, when was the last time anyone from amazon sent you an email and said, "to respond ...., please reply to this email".
I see the scam go like this .... buyer 'robin' orders whatever (knowing that they are going to cancel), sends this bogus message in their cancel request, with a bogus/dangerous/deceptive link for you to click.
The scam is always about getting the other person to click a link, almost always a link that looks safe but is not.
And that's all it takes.
SO BE CAREFUL!!
