What Percent are you Up/or Down from Last Year here?

I'm convinced Amazon has made major changes on it's algorithm, resulting in drastic sales drops for some businesses, but possibly not for all. We're unfortunately one of the businesses that has had a massive drop in the past year....about 50%. I'm wondering if this is different per catagory, per time on Amazon....etc. There's just no way that this is organic change. It'd be nice if Amazon was transparent with it's so called "partners," but I think those who've been here awhile realize we aren't truly partners. Partners are transparent, especially about major and effecting changes. Anyway, anyone who wants to chime in, what percent are you up or down from last year.....what catagory are you in......and how long have you been a seller here? Thanks all!

8 Years on the platform

We are currently up 21% year over year in revenue

October has been abysmal down 12% from last October and down 50% from last month despite adding over 100 new products to our catalog.

I am chalking this up to the election and partially that buyers are leaving Amazon for good (Amazon's customer service has become horrible)

Down 17% due to limited availability of certain wholesale products. It's all good....sell on

we are down 64% compared to last year. Could be the election but there is definitely something going on with Amazon algorithm and buy it box. Our best month sales this year is less than our worst month of 2023. Add to the fact we added over 1000 new product to the catalog and sales are here and there but sadly non consistent

Looks like we're actually up 17% YTD.

However we're down a little over 4% September thru October compared to last year.

We're down over 8% for the month of October.

These last few weeks have been absolutely brutal though. Would be lying if I didn't say I wasn't a little concerned. It's of course been slow before, but this time it feels a little different. Even running sales isn't doing much.

I'm up 100% since I eliminated FBA and switched to selling on other platforms. Couldn't be happier. I'll gladly take the lower/slower sales volume NOT to have to waste all my time playing stupid amzn tail chasing games and don't get me started on the scam returns.

13 years here in Jan.

Doing 6.5% over last year- 9% until the last half of Oct.

Sales dwindled to 1-3 daily-14(!!) last week, the least we've had all year!! I agree the startling lack of sales might be election blues or the fact, despite economic cheerleaders assuring us how inflation has been checked or how good most of us have it since the pandemic, many regular folks are still living pay-check to pay-check!!

63% down.

People now have the least disposable income in generations due to the historic inflation.

Fact.

I was having a good year until about Sep/Oct. We're only 1.5 days into Nov at the time I write this, but usually Nov 1st I take off as my products sell mainly as holiday gifts.

So far its been abysmal (also down big on Etsy during this time too). Can only hope and pray it's the election and once thats over, people will set their sights on holiday shopping.

but yeah, undeniable that the economy is bad, despite what they try to sell you in the news...

Something drastically changed in the last month. For October I had half the total orders I typically had been getting in every month before then. Sales dropped off big time pretty much after Amazon sent out notices to many sellers telling us all they were moving our products into the wrong categories so Amazon could make more in seller fees. I sell automotive products and amazon told me and all the sellers with the same products as mine they were moving all our items to home & kitchen and ever since then sales dropped by about half. So, yeah, maybe the change in algorithm has changed things drastically.
