8541 Error

Hello,

I have had the 8541 error code on multiple products when trying to make changes to details, titles, descriptions, etc. I have created numerous cases trying to get some sort of solution. I keep getting told to delete, wait 24 hours, then relist. I have been doing this since January of this year and it has not been working!! Any advice??

This basically means the product already exists and the info you are uploading doesn't match what Amazon already has.

Error Code 8541:

This error is commonly referred to as a “single matching error” and occurs when your Product ID, such as UPC, EAN, JAN, and ISBN, corresponds to the Product ID of an existing ASIN. That means, we found a similar product in the Amazon catalog. However, there is a discrepancy between some of the information you have submitted versus what is available in the Amazon product catalog, such as, title, brand, color, and size, that is already present for that particular ASIN.

You apparently do not have enough Detail Page Control to make changes to these products. So deleting and relisting won't matter.

@Seller_J46Ruz3VzvWCV (thank you) is spot on and if you are enrolled in Brand Registry, there is a good chance that the ASIN may just not be mapped correctly to your Brand.

I would be happy to take a look, can you share a case ID that lists all the ASINs you are having this issue with?

Once you can provide the case ID, I will start researching and will hopefully find a path to assist.
