Organized Fraud Attack: 10 Chargebacks in One Day!

Dear Amazon Seller Community,

I need to share a disturbing situation happening to my store right now - I received 10 chargebacks in a single day, all claiming "item not received" despite valid tracking showing successful deliveries. This has never happened before, and I strongly suspect organized fraud.

Here's what's happening:

Buyers are not contacting us at all - they go straight to their banks to file chargebacks.

mazon is counting pending chargebacks against our metrics, putting our account at risk.

We shipped all orders on time with tracking, yet we're being penalized for issues completely out of our control.

This is unacceptable because:

We fulfilled our obligations (shipped on time, provided tracking)

Buyers are abusing the system by skipping seller communication

Amazon is punishing us for fraud we didn't commit

We need Amazon to:

Remove these fraudulent chargebacks from our metrics

Provide better seller protection against payment fraud

Investigate these obviously fraudulent accounts

Fellow sellers:

Have you experienced similar sudden chargeback spikes?

Any advice for protecting our accounts?

How can we collectively push Amazon to address this?

This is clearly an organized attack. We need Amazon to step up and protect honest sellers!

Have other sellers experienced similar situations? How can we protect ourselves from chargeback losses when Amazon includes chargebacks still under review in our ODR performance metrics, which is something completely out of our control? How can we safeguard our account’s security in such circumstances?

I also received a Chargeback same as you described today. I replied to the email with relevant information and attached some screenshots of the proof. Now the Open Chargeback in the action has disappeared. I don’t know what will happen next - -

A friend had the same thing a few years ago.

An organized attack to claim that all his products are fake.

His account got blocked, and that's all :/

He even informed Amazon about it well before it occurred, and he was right.

Amazon is TERRIBLE. How are WE sellers responsible if someone steals someone elses credit card???? We DO NOT even see any billing or payment details! Amazon is the one who sends us the orders and requires us to ship ASAP - and they are the one's who need to vet these customers!!! So sick of this BS!!!

Are you sure it not the Walmart fraud that is going around? They list your item on Walmart under some bogus name someone buys it, they dropship from you to the Walmart customer and then claim they don’t get it. They do a chargeback and get paid twice for the same item. Check to see if your item is listed on Walmart.

OR..... another seller - competitor who wants you removed from buy box or wants your similar item out of search results. Because next punishment as result is Amazon removes your offers for the items in the chargeback orders as Not buy box eligible for a minimum 90 days. Been there done that and no way you will get Amazon to assist all AI robot responses. You are guilty and no effective process to prove innocence. good luck.

Welcome to amzn, don't worry you can always block the bad actor/actors purchasing/ scamming you again.....oh wait NO YOU CAN'T, and that's exactly how you KNOW amzn does this on purpose. No protection for sellers. No way to mitigate your losses and it's why they need a good class action to wake them up. The nay sayers will recommend you just "raise your prices" to counter the bad actors & costs......NOT, can't do that either or you lose buy box, get de-listed for high price violations etc...etc... What a sh*tty platform.
