Generic Product help
Hello,
Can you please tell me if I can add a product as a generic brand, if the product looks the same as other branded product? and also can I purchase a UPC number for a generic brand? when I go to GS1 it asks me the name of the brand, Im confused whether is under policy to purchase a UPC or do I have to do the exemption.
Also if you can relate me to more info about how to list under others listings.

Michelle at Amazon here. If you are listing a generic item that looks like another generic item, you must create a new detail page for your product, as Amazon no longer allows you to match other generic listings. You can review the policy here. if the product you are listing is your brand, then you can purchase a UPC from GS1. You can find the policy regarding UPC requirements here.
