Dramatic drop in Sales

Hi,

Has anyone else noticed a sudden drop in sales?

We were getting regular orders from a wide range of products, and suddenly no sales.

No change in Account Health or rating on our end.

Hi, yes our sales have been slow since Christmas, and this wasn't the case last year.

Check to see if you're still getting the buy box. Over the last few weeks, quite a few people have found some glitch has reduced their buy box % to 0, which has dramatically affected sales.

If that's it, there are a few threads about it including a megathread in which the mods are collecting cases.

Im up on Amazon this month, however I have only been selling 3 months. Day on Day for the last 12 days im actually up.

However, My eBay first 2 weeks of May was good, actually I did more in the first 2 weeks than the whole of May last year. However, the last 2 weeks have been abysmal. Usually I average £300-£500 a day on eBay, the last 14 days I haven't had a day over £100. All like £40-£50 it's bad. My High-Street shop will be up on May last year so overall it's okay, but where I have had such a bad Jan/Feb/March/April it's just catch up now.

My website has gone off a Cliff this year. Usually my website will average £3-£5k a Month, I haven't had 1 month this year over £1,500.

Did you mean yesterday (the 22nd) in particular? We had our busiest day in Months up to about 3pm and then it totally died. Think Amazon likely pushed delivery dates for forthcoming bank holiday.

For context, selling 100+ orders per day normally

Our sales have dropped over the past month but dramatically over the past 3 days and yesterday I noticed we'd lost the buy box to other sellers with higher prices and longer delivery dates. I raised this with SS but they just gave the usual standard reply (calculated by metrics etc.) then today we have the buy box again, not that it's improved sales! Likewise our account health is good, so all a bit odd.

I do think there are lots of glitches lately but there's not enough hours in the day to question them all with SS to only go around in circles and achieve nothing.

It's up and down, some days are nearly acceptable but others are awful. I am 20% down on the previous 30 days while on eBay I am now 9.7% up. I am counting on eBay even because even if I start to suddenly sell on Amazon again it would take me 3 weeks to see the money. On eBay I will get it tomorrow.

On April Google changed some things in their algorithms and ads.

Amazon uses Google Ads to bring traffic to the platform.

So since April, Amazon's AI is learning how to effectively bid on changed Google Ads. Which is why sales dropped in April until half of the May, and now fluctuates between good days and a total disaster.

I call it "War of AIs". We, sellers, are the victims.
