post office in our area no longer delivering

This is a waste of time but I guess it's a vent. We've been selling on Amazon and other sites for 20 years. We've always used the post office and have been pretty happy with their service. Until recently.

I've issued 7 refunds in the last 24 hours and lost an a-z claim because mail we've shipped from our South Carolina address have wound up in the Atlanta Distribution Center never to be seen again. Postage rates as you all know have been going up up up up etc. Which if our packages were being delivered on time or ever I guess would be the cost of doing business. But now everything we mail is going into a black hole maybe to disappear.

I asked Amazon today for a refund for four items I order from them way back on FEB. 19, that never arrived. I have a feeling I know what happened to them, they entered the Atlanta Distribution Center.

So now I've turned Amazon off while we try to figure out a different way to ship our orders. Here are some of the headlines about this in our area.

Here's what Georgia leaders are saying about delays at Palmetto USPS facility

Our station has heard from dozens of concerned residents about missing mail and packages connected to a new post office processing center.

On X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, a Georgia representative posted, "My colleagues and I sent a letter to USPS months ago concerning their failures in Georgia. Yesterday, I went to the source myself in Palmetto where we've heard many complaints. Bills, checks, and medicines flow through the mail. And these packages are frequently being delivered very late or not at all. Livelihoods depend on USPS following through on their word. When can Georgians expect the improvements promised?"

Yep. Its a real mess here in the Atlanta area. The only bright side I've seen is we have more distributors asking to pay us by ACH instead of check. We are all tired of paying for the checks to be canceled with them being MIA.

I hope they can get it figured out but I won't hold my breath. Good Luck my friend.

Hello @Seller_U6YKK4OOgB7e7,

Thank you for utilizing the seller forums.

From the information you have provided, I see you are experiencing difficulty with your carrier. I understand there has been ongoing issues with some USPS locations that have been documented. I would recommend saving some of this documentation ( such as tracking information ) in the event you do need to provide an appeal for your customer service performance and shipping performance issues. While you currently do not need to take action, this can be used should an appeal be needed in the future.

So we can offer the best guidance, I am transferring your information to a community manager who specializes in this topic. This way, you will be provided the best support available.

The seller forums community and I are here to help. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

Best wishes,

Cade
