UPS PICK UP FEES
Why doesn't Amazon include UPS shipment pick-ups in their already very high FBA fees? I sell used books and ship out of a doorman building with daily UPS deliveries, yet every time I have a box to ship, I have to call and be charged $15-$19. I live in NYC is there an alternative? This cuts into any profit margin for a small business.

They don't charge the fee because it wouldn't apply to many sellers. Some may already have normal UPS pickup, so there would be no extra fee, and most of the rest probably go to a UPS store or other drop-off location.
Depending on where you are in the city, there is likely a nearby place you can drop off your box. Many CVS stores will take UPS drop-offs. Just do a search on Google for UPS drop of locations.
