Buyer has been very difficult and requested a replacement
Buyer requested a replacement on a item they received over 20 days ago. The only explanation that we received was item was JUNK. The buyer requested a replacement. We then reached out to the buyer to see why he would want a replacement if he felt the item was "JUNK." We got no response until 2 days later when we canceled the replacement request. We never received any evidence or photos of any defect. He then returned the item we received it today. The item has clearly been well used. The only damage found is a result of animal damage and the appearance was hung on something shape like nail or screw. The item smells horrible. We have photos supporting our claims unlike the buyer. We have come to the conclusion that this buyer wants something for free.

Deduct a significant percentage for 'item damaged/materially different' but make sure that you have photograph proof of the condition of the item you sent out vs the condition in which it was received in case the buyer files and AtoZ.

Hi @Seller_b1sUgZbjPw4NS- thanks for joining us here in the forums. I think the guidance from @Seller_qTJiCxRI8PpIZhere is the right path forward.
As you already have evidence of the item you sent vs. the condition of the item received back, you can use these guidelines for charging restocking fees, via a partial refund. Should the buyer file an A-to-z claim, you will be able to use the evidence you mention to dispute their claim.
Keep me posted on the progress here if you'd like, so I can assist from my end as well!
Thanks,
Danny
