MCF Shipping Fees

I am using Amazon MCF to ship orders from my website. I am going to subsidize the MCF shipping fees for my customers. Is there a way to update what my customers will be charged when using the MCF app? TIA!

Hello @Seller_Mr9P4IUeK5987

Christine here from Amazon Forums.

Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) doesn't provide a direct way to modify customer shipping charges within the MCF app itself.

The MCF service is primarily focused on fulfillment and shipping, while pricing for customers is typically managed on your own website or sales platform.

However, you can implement your shipping fee subsidy strategy in the following ways:

  • Your Website/Platform: Adjust the shipping fees displayed to customers on your own website or e-commerce platform. You can set these to be lower than the actual MCF shipping costs you'll incur.
  • Order Management: When you receive orders and process them through MCF, you'll pay Amazon the full shipping fee, but you've already charged your customer the subsidized rate.
  • Accounting: Keep track of the difference between what you charge customers and what you pay for MCF shipping as part of your cost of goods sold or operating expenses.
  • API Integration: If you're using Amazon's API to integrate MCF with your platform, you might be able to programmatically adjust the displayed shipping costs to customers based on the rates you receive from Amazon, applying your subsidy automatically.
  • Regular Reviews: MCF shipping rates can change, so regularly review the rates to ensure your subsidy strategy remains viable.

If you need more specific guidance on implementing this strategy, reach out to Amazon Seller Support.

Hope you have a great day!

Christine.
