Return Claims

Just a quick one. Does anyone know what happens with damaged/lost returns from Hermes/Evri and can you claim? If so how? It has never really been a problem before, as it was very rare they got damaged or lost but over the past few months we have had so many returns which are lost and never returned! We used to just take the hit and still refund the buyer but at the minute it would be in to the 1000s if we were to do it!

This is a hard one as many have mentioned in other posts.

If a lost parcel amazon will tell you to claim from the courier yourself, however as heavily reported when you go after the courier they will state it’s not your account it’s Amazon so contact them and around in circles you go.

Some have emailed certain email address and got somewhere but not often.

Also evri insurance is only up to £20 if you can get somewhere

I’ve only had one Amazon return that never arrived and I claimed with no issues. They refunded £20 plus the label cost. Their internal tracking shows much more scanning data than appears when you view the tracking on their website so they can see exactly where it went missing.

I’ve always phoned them with claims. They “open an investigation” and you phone them 48 hours later and they then email you a claim form. I know other have said they’ve been given the runaround but I’ve not been with labels purchased through Amazon.
