2 A-Z claims granted immediately from same buyer

A buyer bought the same item with express delivery in different sizes and returned them separately saying neither fitted. Both items were returned used and marked with the tags removed etc. Neither order had been auto-refunded so I made deductions from both orders. The buyer was advised the reasons for the deductions and did not reply.

So a few days later they opened two claims for "Damaged or defective item" and both were granted in full because "we determined that the merchandise for the order was correctly returned and you have received the return. Because you did not refund the order within 5 days, the claim amount has been debited from your seller account."

I haven't appealed yet because I know what the outcome of that will highly likely be but they've ignored everything that was provided in evidence when I put the reason and uploaded the photos during the partial refund process. Also the A-Z claim reason differs from the return reason. Had the returns being auto-refunded for the reason given, they would not have had the express shipping refunded and would have been charged the return shipping label. I would also have been able to file safe-t claims which I now cannot,

Has anyone had success appealing this type of blatant buyer abuse? @Sarah_Amzn

Hi there @Seller_PQD1qZdYc2eG3!

I know A-Z claims can be frustrating, but I definitely recommend filing an appeal - you've got 30 days to do it. Just make sure to:

  • Clearly explain how the return reason was changed
  • Include those photos showing the used items and removed tags

Keep us posted! Best, Ezra.

Best, Ezra.
