A to Z claims by customer "item not received" but the tracking shows delivered. Amazon refunded even with Amazon shipping..
Is anyone else having issues with AtoZ claims for "item not received" even though the tracking says delivered using Amazon USPS labels? Amazon granted a full refund and said I was responsible for the refund and deducted the money from my account but didn't count it against me. The orders were shipped on time via Amazon shipping labels...scanned in by USPS on time and delivered early. However, the customer claims item not delivered. I contacted the USPS local office and they confirmed it was delivered to the correct address and confirmed it by GPS delivery scan. So how can I prevent these bogus claims being paid from my account? I thought that the purpose of using Amazon labels and shipping on time would cover any "item not received" claims.

You have to appeal the decision, citing the timing, amazon policy, etc.
Anything to do with reimbursements gets denied first time through.
Even USPS does this when you make an insurance claim....a bot outright misrepresents what you have supplied as evidence and denies you regardless on the first 1 or 2 contacts.

Hey @Seller_st4NC71XgDi3N,
Thank you for participating here at the forums and bringing this situation to our attention.
Proof of delivery might be needed in order to overturn this claim. However, I would like to review all of the details and determine if you have any other options to proceed here.
Please, share the Claim ID when you have a moment.
Thanks,
Joey

- File a claim, print all the AtoZ that show Amazon shows the Tracking as delivered, but refunded the buyer. Good news says Amazon, this will not affect your matrix, but its a loss of both ITEM, and Funds, Make sure you have correctly added it x2 as a loss for your Taxes. (with tracking) proof
- USPS file a claim; do an online screen shot, then file a report
- FTC file a report. Screen shot and copy and paste the discrepecies.
- *Remember your loss is product cost, plus the funds fraudlently refunded, plus the shipping you paid.
- Also, if you choose to dispute a Chargeback, the Chargeback fee is $20

You can not stop the scams & refunds.
They will be a nightmare!
No longer do you get to inspect your wares returned anymore BUT automatic refunds are King on Amazon!

Good Morning! A question for you, when you used Amazon Buy shipping did you declare the item value at the lower right hand corner of the screen? If you did not even though it may be less than $100 you may not be covered. In my 4 years of doing this decaling the value I have never funded a single A to Z claim doing this. I also do not use any of the saver options as they are not insured by the carrier.

Ever heard of Insurance companies just denying claims and/or appeals the first time just because some people never appeal again???... well it is something like that.

I have a problem with USPS on the other hand, my package is not being delivered, the customer is not responding to my messages as to whether or not they received it, what to do about it.

This is VERY concerning to ALL of us.
The language in the Seller Protection Policy is quite Clear and unambiguous, and it certainly seems as if you were protected on the transaction.
One little aside, which I am certain will be challenged here, but still remains True.
When I first began Selling on Amazon I contacted Seller Support (this used to be a very easy thing to do), and I asked what Amazon's "Official Policy" was concerning what dollar-level Amazon wants a Signature Requirement for Delivery.
I was told, by MULTIPLE Amazon Seller Support Reps that Amazon "Wants" us to use "Signature Required for Delivery" on ALL packages valued at $100.00 and higher.
This was well-before Amazon created the Seller-Protection Policy, which definitively requires ONLY that the Postage be purchased using "Amazon Buy Shipping" AND the Carrier First physical scan occurs BEFORE the close of the "Ship-By" window, and does not mention the "Signature Required for Delivery" level at all.
Legally, this Policy is available in writing on Amazon, and is legally binding, and thus you SHOULD have "Won" the Claim.
However, going forward I advise you to always continue to purchase Postage using "Amazon Buy Shipping" AND make SURE the Carrier First physical scan occurs BEFORE the close of the "Ship-By" window, AND to ship with a Signature Confirmation for Delivery IF the package is valued at $100.00 or more.
We follow this to the letter, and as such, we always "Win" any A-Z Claims arising due to a "Problem with Delivery", just as the Policy states.
It also goes without saying that the Seller SHOULD enter the amount of the item (plus the actual outgoing postage) into the "Declared Value" box, as this is the amount you are insuring the package for in cases of "Lost" or "Damaged in Transit" Deliveries.
I sincerely hope that your Claim decision is reversed and you are made whole.
Good Luck!
