Amazon requesting lab test results for already approved ASINs

Is anyone else experiencing this? We recently received a notification asking us to provide lab test results for our products.

We already provided compliance documents, including lab test results from an Amazon-approved testing lab (i.e., SGS), and our ASINs were approved.

We have ASINs that we've been selling on Amazon for 2 years, that Amazon all of a sudden is asking for lab test results that were provided to them before they approved the ASIN for sale. It's frustrating, isn't it?

We have ASINs that Amazon approved as recently as 3 to 4 months ago, and they are suddenly asking for lab test results that we provided them.

Moreover, when we tried to upload the lab test results again, we noticed that Amazon no longer allows upload (which used to be the case). The website now only allows you to request new lab test results.

Is Amazon trying to make us re-order new lab tests for 20+ ASINs all of a sudden? This is expensive and damaging to our business. It's a bit confusing, isn't it?

WE tried to appeal, but as usual, the bots didn't read; they just responded with the same canned message.

Any suggestions? @Rose_Amazon @Manny_Amazon

Thanks

We have 20 of our ASINs that Amazon is asking for us to provide lab test results.

We've already provided all lab test results for these ASINs to Amazon. And Amazon reviewed and approved the ASIN for sale on the U.S store.

All of a sudden, we're being asked to provide lab results again. This is confusing.

Here are the Case IDs in question:

Amazon's automated responses to the above mentioned cases is not address the fact that these are compliant ASIN valid lab test results that were provided to Amazon.

I'm facing similar issues. My five best-selling products were approved by Amazon, and I submitted the lab test results, including the required mercury test, the last time they requested it. But now, Amazon is suddenly asking for lab documents again.

The issue is that Amazon hasn't specified which documents or lab tests are needed. We’ve tried reaching out directly to the lab, but they have no idea what we’re talking about. Amazon also seems unclear about how this process works. The lab says they haven't received any specific requests and are unaware of this type of requirement. It feels like Amazon’s system is getting worse, implementing processes without proper testing.

Hi there @Seller_RufTpk1oVTXTh,

In some instances compliance expectations on Amazon may change. While your products may have been approved in the past, Amazon may require new documentation to ensure it is aligned with the current compliance expectations. For Skin Lightening Products, Amazon requires the documents be provided by one of the approved testing, inspection, and certification organizations. The expected documents and tests can be found on the Skin-lightening products help page.

I can understand your frustration that you cannot provide the documents yourself, however at this time Amazons compliance practices regularly change to ensure the safety of Amazon buyers. Thank you for your understanding.

I'm facing similar issues. With products that are not even related to skin lightening, they flagged it as a skin lightening product and are forcing us to submit amazon-approved testing lab results in the peak of our sales. They rejected all my other lab reports.
