"Listing deactivated due to potential pricing error" but other sellers are allowed to sell at a high price

I received a "Listing deactivated due to potential pricing error" email. My listing was deactivated for that reason. However, there are two other sellers with similar pricing whose listings were not removed. Why is that? I have seen this happen numerous times. There are no Reference prices set for this item, which is often the case. I lowered my price but it does seem very unfair and inexplicable.

You will never know the why-worry about your own account and not what other sellers can and can't do.

Hello @Seller_BjZALyPnGOMLT,

I understand your frustration with having a listing deactivated due to a potential pricing error. Let me walk you through the steps to resolve this issue:

  1. Identify the deactivated listings using the Pricing health tool in Seller Central. You can filter for “Inactive” listings to see which ones have been deactivated.
  2. Review the pricing on the deactivated listings and update the offer price as needed. Calculate the Minimum Price as: [Item Cost + Amazon Fees + Minimum Profit desired].
  3. If updating the price doesn’t reactivate the listing, you can also try uploading an Inventory loader or Price and Quantity feed to make the changes in bulk.
  4. Enroll your products in an Automate Pricing rule that automatically matches the competitive price outside Amazon. This can help increase your likelihood of being the Featured Offer.

If you have attempted the above steps and still run into any difficulties, I'd recommend engaging with Seller Support to see if they can further troubleshoot this for you. If you share your case ID here, I'll review to ensure it's being addressed properly.

I hope this info helps.

Regards,

- Manny
