Shipment from Canada to USA Amazon FBA overpriced!!!
I decided to send some products out over to a warehouse in the USA from Canada as an FBA Seller due to the horrible sales I am getting on Amazon Canada... so i thought maybe there would be an opportunity but wow what a drain to my wallet. Upon completing the shipment page via amazon... I get told that there some "Total inbound placement service fees: $19.60 CAD" I thought maybe this will include the shipping label and fba label (chose UPS - non partner)... after completed I only got 1 FBA label to print compared to the 2 i get when I am sending to a warehouse in Canada.
Upon arrival and showing the UPS worker that i have 1FBA label and that there is supposed to be a shipping label as well as i wasnt able to print it via the amazon site as its not a partnered shipment. After filling out a form in the store and getting weight n dimensions of my box again, he tells me my package requires an additional 40$ CAD payment in the store to get sent to the amazon warehouse in USA.
I understand international shipping and fees but 40$ that i had to pay in the store is more than enough... on top of the "Total inbound placement service fees: $19.60"??
FBA has not been a pleasant experience and its getting obvious amazon has no respect for its sellers.
If someone can help me understand if i did this right or got overcharged that will be awesome, thanks in advance.
Box was only about 3.5 lbs total!

UPS Partnered shipping is not available for Canada to USA FBA Shipments. They do not handle the cross border and the customs clearance and duties and taxes, that is 100% your responsibility.
The inbound placement fees is something that started last month for US FBA sellers that send in small shipments. If you send in larger shipments and multiple boxes, you might not have to pay placement fees as each box may go to a different warehouse, instead of paying Amazon to split up your shipment throughout their network. This is also on top of the low inventory fee that starts next month for FBA in both countries.
