Better Exemption Sheet Form requirements for a Selfie stick
hello,
my product has two types of batteries in it, it being a selfie stick , has beauty lights ( which have a lithium ion Polymer rechargeable battery.. there’s 1 light for each side of the tripod phone holder, these lights are charged with a type - c cable..) the next battery is a coin battery or a better starting with CR code which is inside the remote of the selfie stick tripod which fits onto the selfie stick..
I have submitted a battery exemption sheet form to be able to list the product and haven’t yet heard back.. my question is , has anyone tried selling a selfie stick / tripod that has lights with it and both lights and remote have batteries and since they are both different kinds .. what is the right criteria to be able to list / exemption sheet to be approved ?

You are looking at thing the wrong way. While you are seeking an exemption, that is not the way to go. Sooner or later, Amazon is going to ask for your COC (Certificate of Compliance) to sell the product on the site. Your Lability Insurance Company will want the same document before issuing a policy,
Underwriters Laboratories would be a good choice to have your testing done. Cost should be under $2000 and 10 products that will be destroyed. Or you could do what many manufacturers do, simply say, "Batteries Not Included".

Hello @Seller_Mb9g1HZDSMt6i, it looks like SELLC has you on the right track, but I thought I would jump in with some resources.
Amazon requires that all consumer products with button cell or coin batteries that fall under 16 CFR Part 1263 have been tested to and comply with 16 CFR PART 1263—Safety standard for button cell or coin batteries and consumer products containing such batteries and ANSI/UL 4200A (Safety standard for products incorporating button or coin cell batteries).
You are required to have the following:
- Product model number, which must be displayed on the product detail page for the button cell and coin batteries and consumer products with button cell or coin batteries
- Product safety instructions and user manuals for the button cell and coin batteries and consumer products with button cell or coin batteries
- The General Certificate of Conformity: This document must list compliance with UL 4200A and be based on a test that shows compliance with UL 4200A
- Testing from an ISO 17025-approved lab that confirms compliance to UL 4200A, as adopted by 16 CFR 1263 (Button Cell or Coin Batteries and Consumer Products Containing Such Batteries). Test reports must contain images to demonstrate that the product tested is the same as the product listed on the product detail page
- Product images as evidence of compliance with poison prevention packaging requirements (16 CFR Part 1700.15), precautionary labeling statement requirements (Public Law 117-171), and safety standard for button cell or coin batteries and consumer products containing such batteries (16 CFR Part 1263)
You'll also want to make sure they are packaged safely and in compliance with the requirements for packaging batteries. See also Requirements for lithium batteries and products powered by lithium batteries and Help with Battery Questions.
