Error 8541; Titles in Amazon catalog are pulled from another market
There is always something to be frustrated about. Now it is something with the Amazon catalog.
I’ve been selling for over 5 years. Private label, unique branded items.
Recently I am unable to make any updates to my branded products.
In all EU markets, there is the same set of problems:
- Unable to create a variation family, allegedly because a child ASIN already is a part of a variation (this is easy to doublecheck actually as there is a tool on inventory dashboard to update any variation even if it is not in your inventory list, so I have been always reconfirming if there is a variation family pulled from somewhere)
- Unable to add any features using feed file it just does not add any updates as there is an error as described below that will block the rest of the updates
- Unable to update titles, this is the most frustrating, I am trying to edit a product title, there are loads of reasons to do so, However , what happens with the catalog is that it returns 8541 error, and that would be understandable if only not the fact that what's already in the Amazon catalog is pulled up from another market, in other words, I am updating my product’s title in DE market, processing report returns me an error and a statement that in the catalog there is another title for this ASIN which is in Italian language not in German, when addressing this issue to SS they do not help at all, nor can they help to identify the cause of this mismatch. Obviously, I am not changing my product’s title to an incorrect language.
Already deleted and re-listed these items to refresh the catalog data,
What happens is that in some markets the title gets updated to the value that I assign, but the error does not disappear hence there is a block to other data update.
Did any of you guys face anything like that or know how to work around this issue?
Any advice would be highly appreciated.
