I sell a cell phone lighter that was removed due to US - Food and Product Safety concerns. This lighter attaches to your cell phone via magnet or adhesive. It has a safety mechanism where the user must physically move the latch in order to pull down the cover to reveal the heating element.

I reviewed the US - Food and Product Safety policy and did not find this product among the list of products and categories that were restricted.

The communication from Amazon said there were multiple reports of safety concern.

I reviewed all 21 communications from customers that purchased this item since we started selling it in 2023 and I could not find a customer contacting us about this product being unsafe.

I opened case 17774911121 with Amazon and their answer was:

Dear Selling Partner,

This product causes a safety risk.

Therefore, it is prohibited from sale and listing on Amazon. At this time, we will not be reviewing any documents for this product.

We appreciate your cooperation.

I want to figure out why is this product prohibited.
