Payment / Disbursement Issue- what am I missing?

Hello - I am a new seller, first sale was on 3/12/24. Payment was not disbursed the following week, instead I receive an email from Amazon stating that my payments will be held for 14 days for a performance review. A performance review after just selling for a week? Current health is green, no issues, no returns or charge backs, no negative feedback, keep making sales. The notice received from amazon does not state what the review is for at all, that maybe they will change back to 7 days later...

Based on the premise of funds to be held for 14 days after delivery, does not seem to be followed. My first sale completed delivery on 3/13/24. So in theory, payment should have been issued 3/27/24, however now, under payments, it finally denotes that a payment will be scheduled to initiate on 4/9/24 (27 days later, almost double the 14 days)?

Additionally, I understand that $ is held in reserve for issues. However, based on the 14 day rule post delivery, by 4/9/24, I should have more than $700 USD coming my way, however that value keeps changing (shrinking). Any and all additional sales seems to be impacting my disbursement amounts regardless of when deliveries were completed. This does not make any sense whatsoever. On 4/4/24 - the amount was $497, now today it's listed as $334.58.

I have tried to issue a ticket (case # 15041700051) – no reply.

I created a similar forum post, CR_Amazon (AI?) sort of responded with what I would perceive as a generic reply with no actual resolution.

Am I missing something here, or is this just normal practice? If someone can please help clarify, hard to keep going when I don’t have any $ coming in as all the funds are held by Amazon. Any real (amazon employee) moderator around?

YES, you are missing a LOT.

If you read the Forum at all you will see HUNDREDS of posts about sellers with reserve requirements into the thousands of dollars.

Some sellers will have reserve requirements for the life of the account. Others will have reduced or eliminated amounts over time but it may take years to have that happen.

What you are seeing is the amount being held in reserve due to your sales activity.

Amazon is NOT in any hurry to send you money so don't pay any attention to those 'payment dates' because they are not likely to happen when expected.

Read the Forum every day and do a search for your issue. It won't change anything but you will educate yourself about the site and how it really operates.

It's absolutely NOT as clean and neat as all the TikTok and YouTube clowns make it sound.

AND, if you do not have an LOA and actual invoice from an authorized wholesale source when Amazon gets around to asking you for those items you will NEVER see that money!

Hello there @Seller_oO5h1pajDQVL2,

As you fellow seller stated, I think the most important factor to keep in mind is the account level reserve.

Since you recently started selling on Amazon, this will unfortunately affect your payments.

I saw you received your first disbursement, and I understand it was lower than you expected. Please keep monitoring your account and you will see funds being released from the reserve amount into your next disbursement.

I encourage you to continue using our seller forums as there are a lot of very experienced sellers that can help you with your questions.

Best of luck and enjoy your weekend!

Ricardo

As a new seller don't expect get paid for few weeks atleast. Majority of your payment would to the reserve, and it would take atleast few months before your get reserved released in 2 weeks. Goodluck
