Lost A-to-Z Claim (return shipment lost by UPS)

i have a very interesting experience yesterday. A customer opened an A-to-Z claim because they said they weren't refunded yet. Amazon granted them a refund, seller funded so we're out $300. I appealed twice and even contacted live chat and the rep told me they would have another special team look at my case and they even said that I would be reimbursed but I think Amazon already sent me a few emails by now saying they are standing theor ground. What in the world is going on? I should not be responsible for this refund when the package has been lost. The tracking hasn't updated in 3 weeks. Amazons first reply when I first appealed said that the return shipment had been delivered. It hasn't. The second appeal they changed their reasoning and said that it was my responsibility to get in touch with UPS to figure out where the package is. Are you serious? Not professional at all.

That is correct, for filing claims of loss or damage, call UPS directly at 1-800-711-5914.
