Where Can I Complain About the Low-Inventory Fee
I just learned about this new fee. Is there a place we can lodge a complaint? I realize Amazon really doesn't care about sellers but there should be an inbox we can flood with complaints. There is and always has been a low-inventory fee and it is 100% of the items we would have sold if we run it too lean and run out of stock. This is so crazy I'm having a hard time believing it is true.

If Amazon would get rid of the account level reserve for sellers who have a positive selling history, we can reinvest the proceeds faster and get inventory into FBA faster.
Now it's a double hit. We are thinking about scaling back our FBA operations due to this new proposed fee.

You're missing the point; when you encounter this particular issue, it's costing you money, but Amazon doesn't make any. They want to be sure that they get their cut. :-(

Go to the hardware store and get a can of spray paint.
Look in your home for an empty wall or at least enough space available to spray paint a square.
Spray paint a square. After it dries, get a permanent marker and write "complaint department" inside the square.
Now, with most of Amazon's "improvements" and the need to express your delight, you will have a complaint department to shout your approval of the decisions. or ban g your head against that wall. about the same result, except ban ging your head on a brick wall could make it all messy, so be careful what wall you choose for your complaint department square.
Yelling your frustration out at your complaint department may help with your stress, and a lot easier than talking to seller support (who are already often like talking to a wall)... At least with your own personalized complaint department wall square, you won't get the wrong information.
Or just raise your prices like Amazon wants and don't worry about the idiot fee.

You can't complain, you are just going to pay the fee.
However, there is a solution. Stop using FBA and start using FBM. You will keep a lot more of your profit is you do.

Carrying inventory at 28 days + means a higher carrying cost. That said, for ASINs that frequently stock out, it may mean deleting the SKU and relisting when you have inventory available to send in. This will likely mess up some of Amazon's prediction algorithms. Therefore, the idea of a Low-Inv fee seems like it won't work.

Pray that Amazon cares about their public image.
That's about it...

You can start by voicing your opinion on the NEWS RELEASE here:

I could not agree more. This is completely unacceptable. No moderator has answered my primary question, what happens when we sell out of a product? Do we have to DELETE our SKUS entirely to avoid this fee, and then create a new listing if we ever restock? No one has answered this question as of yet. Also, is the fee based on overall demand, including that of liquidators who sell it below our cost, or our specific demand, at the price WE sell it at, where we can maintain an actual profit and stay in business? Liquidators may sell 200 units a month, at HALF retail price, but since we are dealers and pay $.75 on the dollar, and must sell product at double retail to make our 25% profit margin, as is the case with ALL official product dealers, our short-term sales would be ZERO, and therefore our quantities at FBA Remain at ZERO until the liquidators finish destroying the product value, and the price goes back up to the price dealers were making a profit at before liquidators got their claws on it.
We dont ship ANY product to FBA if the price is not profitable. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Amazon doesn't want our product to sit there, and we don't want to ship it to FBA if we have to sell it at LIQUIDATION prices. We hold our product until price goes back up. That way WE STAY IN business, AND Amazon doesn't suddenly run out of product when liquidators finish making their rounds. Amazon should DEFINITELY NOT BE FORCING US INTO MAKING BAD BUSINESS DECISIONS, STRONGLY ENCOURAGING US TO RESTOCK PRODUCT THAT WILL RESULT IN EITHER LIQUIDATING OUR FBA PRODUCT (AKA OUR BUSINESS), OR HAVING MASSIVE STORAGE FEES THEY HAVE DESPERATELY BEEN DISCOURAGING US FROM INCURRING. IT WOULD BE LIKE A POLICE OFFICER GIVING YOU A SPEEDING TICKET FOR GOING 10MPH BELOW THE SPEED LIMIT DURING A BAD SNOW STORM. NEVER HAPPENS IN REAL LIFE. MOST POLICE OFFICERS WOULD CREDIT A PERSON FOR DRIVING SAFE IN DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. Amazon should be GIVING US CREDIT for NOT shipping our products when the prices arent profitable, causing inventory to just sit there, and clog up their warehouses, until the price goes back up. WHY ON EARTH WOULD AMAZON DO THIS?
No one has answered either one of these questions. See above news release conversation.
