INFORM Consumers Act - CREDIT UNION Verification
Hello,
I am trying to verify my bank account per the INFORM CONSUMERS ACT requirements. Amazon wants me to upload a bank statement that shows the last 4 digits of my bank account number. My bank account is at a credit union, and they put my credit union MEMBER NUMBER as my account number on the statement. This is different from my account number as used by Amazon to send disbursements. There is no way to get the account number to appear in the statement instead of the member number. This is just how credit unions work, and I have seen many similar posts in the forums.
What can be done to verify my bank account?

I have the exact same issue. I went to the credit union yesterday trying to explain this particular issue and also contacted Seller Support and got nowhere.

Why you don't just open an account with another bank, or with Payoneer, for example. This is done quickly and easily and online.

Exact same issue. My credit union is DCU. I've been getting Amazon deposits for 15 years. Guess I'll look at Payoneer.

I downloaded a direct deposit form too, and have it all ready for my next try. In fact I wish I could cancel the In Progress one now, and upload this instead. The direct deposit form does match both the name and account # exactly.

Greetings @home_design_as,
This is Stevie from Amazon checking in on your thread to provide next steps.
Based on what you've shared and the high priority of the INFORM Consumers Act I encourage you to connect with our Account Health Support team by phone.
Given the nuance of your experience and the personal nature of the banking verification I suggest using the "Call Me Now" feature found on your Account Health Dashboard. We will want our team to put eyes on your account directly and talk through the best course of action for your personal information involving INFORM Consumers Act requirements.
In the meantime, here is another great thread to address FAQ's that can be helpful for you to review. Don't hesitate to post here with an update on your situation after that phone call, we are here to support you as well.
All the best,
Stevie

We're stuck in a similar situation. Our credit union statement was uploaded 8 days ago and has been stuck in the "in progress" state since. No one from Account Health will help in any way.
We were finally able to get our credit union to provide a direct deposit form on credit union letterhead attached to the statement, but we cannot upload it as the previous submission is pending. Account Health just keeps telling us it's impossible, wait 48 hours, etc, over and over.

In case it helps others:
We just kept requesting calls from Account Health all morning until someone helped us. Several associates just wanted us off the phone, said nothing could be done and to wait 48 hours and try again. No help. Finally one person was extremely helpful, worked through it with us, contacted the appropriate team, and had it resolved and everything approved within an hour.
Just be persistent. It's frustrating and I know everyone is stressed, both sellers and Amazon support people, but we just have to keep politely pushing to get these issues resolved.

Stevie wondering if you could help me too? I've also submitted my bank statement, direct deposit form, and a statement from the bank with my account number on it. Each time it's been denied as it isn't a "bank statement" What should be my next steps?

I had to create a new Deposit Method in Amazon where the "account number" was my credit union Member number. This way deposits are sent to Account #1 which is my Savings. Then I uploaded just a Deposit form, which shows my member number, and Amazon accepted that, probably thinking it was my Account Number.

Oh yeah, the 'Call me now' feature. Well I couldnt find it.

Hello -- I am having the same problem. I have uploaded my bank statement, a deposit document, and a letter from my credit union containing my account number and my name. All have been rejected because my credit union displays my Member Number instead of my account number on my statements. I am unable to access the callback feature, probably because I am not a pro seller. It looks as though Amazon is going to terminate my account only because my credit union doesn't display my account number on my bank statements. As I said I uploaded a letter from my credit union that does contain my account number and my name, but that was rejected as well. I am out of ideas. How do I get someone at Amazon to call me. (I have opened numerous cases & no one is actually responding to my problem. They are just cutting and pasting info from the help pages.) Thank you. -- Donna Kossy, Book Happy Booksellers (book-happy-books)

Good Evening @home_design_as, @kathy_3174, @Heather_Sims_Art, @books_online_1107 - I have escalated to our team the question regarding credit unions. In the meantime as @Stevie_Amazon mentioned, feel free to speak to an Account Health Support specialist using the "Call Me Now" feature and see if they can help resolve this issue a bit quicker. I will get back to you as soon as I find anything else out. Hope you have a wonderful evening. Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon

We have the exact same problem. Then I tried to add the same bank account again and that was probably a mistake. Now I might have to go through everything again, and again. This is so confusing an frustrating.

Hi - did you ever get this resolved with amazon? We opened a new account & then tried to add it & it wouldn't allow us. We've been de-activated.
