Navigating Brand Registry: A Step-by-Step Guide to Successful Application

Hello Sellers!

I wanted to resurface some helpful content when applying to Brand Registry.

Our Brand Registry Application Guide walks through the entire application process, letting you know tips on what to provide and what to avoid. You can also access this link when you go to your Brand Page -> Enroll your Brand. The guide is also available on our Brand Registry page!

Here are some top 3 common mistakes I have see on forums.

1. Not following image guidelines (located in pages 6 and 7 of guide). I have seen sellers attach brand names with stickers and this is not considered permanently affixed.

2. Attaching example ASINs that is NOT your product or brand. (located in section 3.2 ASINs of your brand) This is an optional field. If you already sell products under your brand name, you can add the ASINs here. If you already have ASINs under a different brand, do not add them here otherwise the application will be denied.

3. Selecting categories that do not describe their brand. (located in 3.1 Categories to describe your brand) Sellers need to select at least one category to advance in the application process. Only pick the product categories that apply to the products you sell so that your brand can be correctly identified. I have seen sellers select different categories (Such as grocery, when their trademark goods is listed as office supplies)

Please review this step by step guide before submitting your application as it contains a lot of helpful information. If sellers have read through it and have questions, please let me know if the comments!
