FBA Calculator help / Profit Margin query

Hi,

We are using the FBA calculator to work out profits for a new product launch. We sell in the UK but are expanding to the US.

We have our heads around everything, but we can’t find this part anywhere.

The current profit margin left is 20% before PPC. It’ a little tight, but then with the prices always just going up and up it will always just get harder. We hope for 15% after PPC (after everything)..

The query is - how do we also include a cost for US Taxes?

We know taxes can vary depending where the customer is based.

Should we include a percent for taxes in the calculator?

Is this tax then claimed back during accounting returns?

Amazon UK have just started charging taxes on fees and FBA fee’s, these taxes (VAT) can be claimed back during quarterly returns, but losing the money in the first place makes things harder.

Just want to be 100% sure we are calculating things right. Every FBA calculator out there doesn’t have anything about US taxes.

Really, really appreciate anyone’s valued help to our queries.

Many thanks 🙏 😊

QUOTE AGAIN NOT WORKING.

I think you are talking about "Sales tax". Don't worry be happy: in the USA this is NOT your problem. Amazon collects these directly from the customer and remits them to the state he lives in. So you don't have to take them in consideration for your price.
